2010 Belmont County Community Cleanup schedule:
March 20 – Wheeling & Union Townships at the Wheeling Twp. garage on Main St./Rt. 9 North
March 27 – Colerain Township at the Maynard Firehouse Community Park on Fairpoint-Maynard Rd.
April 10 – open lot located behind Chapter Square in Bridgeport
April 17 – Goshen Township at the Township garage on Hunter-Bethesda Rd.
April 24 – Warren Township at the train depot parking lot
May 1 – Mead Township under the Moundsville Bridge
May 8 – Pultney Township at the Neffs Fire Hall parking lot
May 15 – Richland Township at the Township garage on Warnock-St. Clairsville Rd.
JEFFERSON COUNTY CLEANUPS:
The project will be conducted at fourteen locations throughout Jefferson County, allowing residents the opportunity to properly discard tires and other unsightly or unwanted materials they have accumulated on their properties.
Acceptable –
- Car tires with or without rims.
- Small truck tires with or without rims.
Unacceptable –
Tires from businesses. (Businesses wishing to recycle or properly dispose of their tires can contact Robert Andrews, Liberty Tire, Minerva, OH at 330-868-0097.)
- Semi trailer truck tires.
Community Cleanup:
Acceptable:
- Household furniture
- Small household appliances
- Yard decorations/furniture
- Play equipment, toys, bikes, etc.
Unacceptable:
- Paint
- Household garbage
- Televisions/computers/monitors/etc. (These materials are to be brought to the hazardous material collection scheduled for August 21, 2010 at the Fort Steuben Mall.)
The collection hours are 10 am until 2:30 pm. Sites will be monitored after hours. Persons disposing of material during off hours shall be subject to prosecution.

Tires recycled during this collection are utilized for products such as: Carpet Padding, Fence Posts, Floor Mats, Highway Crash Barriers, Outdoor Athletic Surfaces, Roofing Materials and additional items.
