HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION
Saturday, June 13, 2009
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.  
56104 National Road
Bridgeport, Ohio (at the old Giant Eagle location)

Acceptable Materials:

 

• Household cleaners-ammonia, bleach and cleaners used for carpets, drains, toilets, furniture and other household applications
• Lawn & garden chemicals-pesticides & herbicides
• Lab packs (acids/bases)
• Various pool chemicals
• Various aerosols
• Antifreeze, motor oil, oil filters
• Gasoline/Kerosene
• Paint and paint products such as thinner, primer, stain, sealer, varnish and shellac
• Solvents, strippers, turpentine
• Roof and driveway sealer
• Light bulbs with mercury, including 4 ft, 8ft, U-Bend, Circular, or Incandescent  fluorescent bulbs
• Various batteries-lead acid (auto), nickel cadmium (NiCad rechargeable), alkaline, mercury & lithium
• Elemental mercury & mercury thermometers
• Propane cylinders-grill size and smaller

 

Materials not accepted:

      NO!!!!!

PCB’s, transformers, capacitors

Explosives/Ammunition

Medical/Infectious wastes

Radioactive waste

Commercial or business waste

Compressed gas cylinders (except propane)

 

 

This collection is for the residents of Jefferson & Belmont Counties only- photo I.D. with address may be required to drop-off your materials. For more information contact the Jefferson-Belmont Regional Solid Waste Authority.
