Expired or unwated over the counter medicines
Drugs no longer used for you, family member or pet
Medicine from a deceased relative
Unknown tablets or capsules

If possible please keep medications in original containers
Cross out patient name but please leave name of medication visable
Medications will be accepted from individualhouseholds only

Medications will not be accepted from businesses such as nursing homes, doctor's offices or any other institution or business

Electronic Collections 2010 ~
            In Jefferson County, August 21st at the Fort Steuben Mall 10-2

            In Belmont County, August 28th at the Ohio Valley Mall   10-2
Most anything to do with computer or electronics will be accepted from District residents including TV’s. 
No hazardous waste, household appliances such as microwaves, refrigerators, washer/dryers, blenders, Air conditioners, ACU’s etc. or any items from businesses.
A photo ID may be requested to prove residency.
 
Household Hazardous Waste Collection ~ Saturday, September 11, 2010 10-1 @ the Fort Steuben Mall in Steubenville.
The following items will be accepted from Belmont and Jefferson County residents:   paint, household cleaners, lawn & garden chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, pool chemicals Aerosol cans,  paint related products-solvents, strippers, turpentine, Light bulbs, including compact fluorescents, Batteries-Lead Acid, Lithium, NiCad, Alkaline, Mercury and Mercury debris,Motor oil, Antifreeze, Propane cylinders (grill sized and smaller).
No Commercial or business waste, no PCB oil, transformers, and capacitors, Compressed Gases (other then propane), Explosives/Ammunition, Medical/Infectious wastes, DEA Controlled Substances, Radioactive waste, Computers, Televisions orTires.

Be sure to look for the ClearStream Recycling Containers to recycle your plastic bottles and aluminum cans at these events as well as local fairs, festivals, sporting and musical events throughout Jefferson & Belmont Counties.:

Dry Cell Batteries can now be recycled at local businesses 
These include alkaline, NiMH, NiCad, Zinc Air, Non-Lithium Button Cell batteries, Primary Lithium, Lithium-Ion and Sealed Lead Acid batteries. PLEASE TAKE NOTE that all batteries must be securely packaged and offered for transportation in a manner that prevents the dangerous evolution of heat and short circuits. The can be accomplished by taping batter terminals and separating from all other batteries in a different package such as a plastic bag, for more information contact one of the SWA offices.
